Wataniya Airways Cargo takes off

THE Middle East has a new option for express cargo transport following Kuwait-based Wataniya Airways’ recent launch of cargo services.Kuwait’s newest carrier will offer premium and express products to the region using its growing fleet of narrowbody Airbus aircraft. Wataniya Airways Cargo plans to offer a quality service that it says will “match and exceed the service levels of its regional competitors”.Finlay McArthur, network cargo manager, said: “We are a premium service airline operating A320 aircraft from Kuwait to eight major destinations in the Gulf and the Middle East. In order to maximise the cargo opportunities on our A320 fleet, it is essential that we match the type of cargo carried to the service levels we offer. With this in mind we have teamed up with Heavyweight Air Express as network GSSA, who have considerable experience in the kind of service and operations we have developed and now offer to the market.”For the full story read the latest issue of Air Cargo News, dated 15 January.
