Dutch transport publisher ProMedia Group has acquired Air Cargo News and other trade titles from DVV Media, effective 31 December

Dutch publishing firm ProMedia Group has acquired Air Cargo News, along with sister publications Heavylift and Project Forwarding International, FlightGlobal, Railway Gazette and HR titles Personnel Today and Employee Benefits from DVV Media International.

ProMedia Group is a Dutch publishing and multimedia company focused on transport, logistics, mobility, infrastructure and human resources.

The company publishes more than 35 business-to-business titles, including well-known trade media such as Schuttevaer, Nieuwsblad Transport, Flows, WorldCargo News, Railfreight.com, SpoorPro, RailTech and Automotive Online. 

In addition, the company organises trade fairs, conferences and seminars in sectors including maritime, rail, road transport and mobility. 

Following the acquisition, which was completed on 31 December, the ProMedia organisation employs approximately 225 people.

"The editorial teams and staff involved will transfer to ProMedia, ensuring continuity for readers, partners and customers," ProMedia said in a press release.

Air Cargo News editor Damian Brett said: “We’re excited to kick off the new year with new owners that have a keen focus on investing in high-quality editorial products and events.

“We’re looking forward to seeing how we can work with ProMedia to develop the Air Cargo News product to meet the needs of our readers and capitalise on the latest technology."

In a press release, ProMedia stated that it would focus on the further digitalisation of the brands.
