Yusen Logistics Europe has acquired four Walden Group subsidiaries to create a dedicated healthcare platform spanning freight forwarding to last-mile
Yusen Logistics Europe has expanded its healthcare offering through the acquisition of Walden Group subsidiaries Movianto, Eurotranspharma, Transpharma International and Walden Digital.
All four of the businesses will operate as part of the Yusen Logistics Healthcare network, offering international freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, last-mile delivery, as well as control tower and digital solutions.
Movianto provides logistics solutions for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostic sectors, with services including transport, warehousing and value-added services.
Eurotranspharma is primarily focused on B2B and last-mile distribution services for temperature-controlled healthcare products.
Transpharma International offers end-to-end supply chain solutions, including control tower for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, road transport, air transport, sea transport, customs and trade services.
Walden Digital has developed Transport Management System (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions.
Yusen Logistics said the deal strengthened its position in the European healthcare logistics sector and “demonstrates its unwavering commitment to delivering best-in-class transportation and logistics solutions for the healthcare industry”.
