Tributes paid to logistics professional who shaped Globe Air Cargo US growth and maintained 18 year career at British Airways

Air Cargo News is saddened to report the passing of Vincenzo 'Vinnie' Armano, director at Globe Air Cargo US.

The ECS Group, which owns Globe Air Cargo, paid tribute to New York-based Vincenzo, saying that he dedicated more than 10 years to the company and played a pivotal role in the development of Globe Air Cargo US.

“His leadership, market expertise, and strong commercial vision contributed significantly to the Group’s growth and left a lasting mark on both teams and airline partners,” the company said.

"Vincenzo was not only an exceptional professional but also a deeply respected colleague and friend. His commitment, integrity, and passion for the air cargo industry shaped Globe Air Cargo US and inspired all those who worked with him. He will remain forever part of the ECS Group family and its history.”

ECS Group extended its heartfelt condolences to Vincenzo’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Tributes were also paid on social media, with Armano described as positive, a hard worker and fun to hang out with.

Another said he had incredible energy, sharp knowledge and a sense of humour that could light up a room.

As well as Globe Air Cargo, Armano also worked for British Airways for more than 18 years, Cargo Airport Services and Saudi Airlines.
