Carrier creates new position to support network growth across key Gulf markets as Singapore and Kigali routes launch

Oman Air Cargo has appointed Gokul Sudamani to the newly created role of regional head of sales for the Middle East and Gulf as the airline looks to expand its presence in the region.
Sudamani brings over 18 years of experience in the air cargo industry. According to his LinkedIn profile, he has worked for Etihad for the past four years in stakeholder management and account management roles.
Prior to that, he worked for GSA HAE Group in account management for more than eight years and before that for GSA ABDA Group in sales roles for more than six years.
“The new role will play a key part in expanding Oman Air Cargo’s regional offerings, enhancing service to the core freight forwarding community,” Oman Air Cargo said in a press release.
Sudamani added: ”The Middle East and Gulf remain vital markets for our business, and I am excited to work closely with partners across the region to deliver flexible, reliable solutions for customers.”
The airline has recently announced the launch of several new routes, including Singapore and Kigali, aimed at strengthening the airline’s presence across the region.
“The Middle East is a unique market, acting as a global transit hub while continuing to grow as a destination in its own right,” said Michael Duggan, head of cargo, Oman Air.
“This new role reflects our commitment to the region as we continue to expand the network, functioning as a key hub both globally and regionally.”
