Service launches on 2 July with focus on east-west trade lanes, leveraging the Singapore hub for Asia Pacific connections and European perishables.

Oman Air Cargo is looking ahead to the addition of a new bellyhold route to Southeast Asia.
The service will launch on 2 July and operate four times per week between Muscat and Singapore, utilising its Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
The cargo division said the new route will leverage Singapore’s role as a global trading hub by providing access to onward connections across the Asia Pacific region and support growing demand on east-west trade lanes.
Target markets include high-tech consumer goods, alongside export capacity for perishable goods from Oman.
“As we expand our Asia Pacific network, our new Singapore service will provide access to one of the world’s most important cargo gateways,” said Michael Duggan, head of cargo, Oman Air.
“This new service strengthens Muscat’s position as a key connector between the Middle East and Southeast Asia, while also providing key connections further afield and new opportunities for shippers moving high-value and time-sensitive goods.”
The service will also increase capacity for cargo moving from Europe, with a focus on perishables, such as flowers from Amsterdam, alongside automotive parts and fashion goods, the airline said.
The airline has been investing in its cargo operations in recent months. In November, it announced five new General Sales Agent (GSA) partnerships that will bring two new offline routes to Australia and Japan.
And in October, Lesley Cripps was appointed as European sales manager.
