Texel Air Australasia has added another 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) to its fleet to support its plans to focus on charter operations, Trans-Tasman routes, and flights into the Pacific.

The Auckland-headquartered ACMI/charter cargo airline, a subsidiary of Bahrain-headquartered Chisholm Enterprises, confirmed the new aircraft "Lynn" in a LinkedIn post on 3 March.

This is the sixth 737-800BCF for Texel Air Australasia and the 11th for the entire Texel Air group fleet, added Bahrain-based sister airline Texel Air in a separate LinkedIn post.

”Our latest B737-800BCF touched down in Auckland under temporary registration 2-BPDA, arriving from Jakarta via Denpasar," said Texel Air Australasia in its LinkedIn post.

"After a quick immigration stop, the aircraft continued to our trusted partners Hamilton Aero Maintenance Ltd at Hamilton International Airport (FLYYHM), who will be supporting us in bringing it onto the New Zealand register as ZK-TXF."

The airline added: "With this expansion, we are set to grow even further, focusing on charter operations, Trans-Tasman routes, and flights into the Pacific."

Texel Air Australasia was launched in June 2023 and initially carried out charter services for Parceline Express, a subsidiary of Freightways and New Zealand Post.

The airline's website states that its fleet of Boeing 737s includes the 737-300F, the 737-700 FlexCombi and the 737-800BCF.
