Recently launched freighter operator Supernova Airlines has launched a new service between Liege (LGG) and Ostrava (OSR) in the Czech Republic.

The service operates four times per week using the Ukraine-registered airline’s Boeing 737-800 freighter and the service launch reflects the company’s focus on “reliable European corridors” and follows “steady growth”.

The service will focus on time-sensitive shipments, e-commerce and industrial freight, while ”improving access to distribution hubs linking western Europe with central and eastern regions”.

Natalia Holynskaya, deputy chief commercial officer and head of sales at Supernova Airlines, said: “Launching our LGG–OSR connection is an important milestone in expanding our European network.

”Liege Airport offers the operational freedom, infrastructure, and 24/7 cargo expertise that support our growth and our commitment to delivering high-quality air transport solutions to our customers.”

Frederic Brun, head of commercial at Liege Airport, added: “Supernova Airlines’ choice of Liege Airport strengthens our position as a key gateway to Central and Eastern Europe.

”This new connection ensures seamless access to regions where air operations remain challenging, offering reliable solutions for customers who depend on uninterrupted cargo flows.”

The airline, owned by New York-based logistics company Nova Global, received an operator’s certificate in January 2023 and added its 737-800F in late 2024.

It received European Union Aviation Safety Agency approval as a Third Country Operator (Part-TCO) in October last year.

In April, Supernova formalised general sales agent (GSA) partnerships with Alfa Airlines Services in Belgium and A.D. Aviation in Tel Aviv.
