Freighter owner and operator AeroTransCargo (ATC) has secured a loan facility that will be used for engine procurement, aircraft refurbishment and fleet addition costs.
The terms of the load were not announced, but the company said it will use the money to "finance engine procurement and refurbishment for ATC’s fleet of Boeing 747-400 freighters, as well as start-up costs for other aircraft being introduced to its fleet".
The senior-term load facility was closed with HALO AirFinance - a joint venture between aviation finance firms GA Telesis and Tokyo Century Corporation.
ATC is part of the Air One International Group, which owns a fleet of 11 Boeing 747-400 freighters. According to its website, ATC operates five of the freighters, while it leases others to sister airlines One Air and RomCargo Airlines.
Guneet Mirchandani, chairman of AeroTransCargo, said: “As part of the wider Air One network, we are committed to building a scalable and sustainable cargo platform, supported by strategic partners who understand the value we bring to the global air cargo market and the stakeholders who rely on widebodied freighter capacity.”
He added: “We are proud to have earned the trust and support of HALO AirFinance, which reflects not only our growth performance but also their confidence in our long-term vision, strategy, and operational resilience.”
Marc Cho, co-head and managing director of HALO, added: “This financing underscores HALO’s mandate to deliver customised capital solutions across the aviation lifecycle. We are pleased to support a leading cargo operator and look forward to continuing to expand our reach across global markets.”
Last year, UK-headquartered One Air confirmed its intention to add Boeing 777 freighters to its fleet.
Parent company Air One has offices in London, the UAE, and Hong Kong and in the last five years has successfully organised over 3,750 full charters using the fleets of its subsidiary and affiliated airline partners, carrying more than 345,000 tonnes of cargo to more than 100 destinations globally.
