Hong Kong Air Cargo (HKAC) has added an Airbus A330-200 passenger to freighter (P2F) aircraft to its operations as part of its capacity expansion plan.

The A330-200P2F was delivered on 8 January and brings HKAC’s A330-200 freighter fleet to six. The other five -200 aircraft are production A330-200Fs and all aircraft are dry leased from parent company Hong Kong Airlines.

HKAC's growing fleet will be used to support its expanding network and efforts to optimise frequencies. The airline also has an EFW-converted Airbus A330-300P2F that is on ACMI lease.

“The addition of the sixth aircraft strengthens our ability to support customers with greater flexibility and reliability, as we continue delivering dependable cargo solutions across our network,” said Tony Ma, chairman of Hong Kong Air Cargo.

“As we add capacity, we will continue to optimise our network, building on strong frequencies while expanding our freighter footprint across continents.”

Looking ahead, HKAC said it would continue to explore expansion opportunities, including growth in key markets and long-haul development.

HKAC also recently announced it would launch a scheduled freighter service between Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and Queen Alia (Amman) International Airport (AMM) in Jordan.

The carrier also resumed flights to Singapore and added Chennai to its scheduled operations this month.
