Hong Kong Air Cargo adds Jordan to network as part of Asia-Middle East expansion, with service starting 10 January from HKG to AMM

Hong Kong Air Cargo (HKAC) will launch a scheduled freighter service between Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) and Queen Alia (Amman) International Airport (AMM) in Jordan.
The new route will begin on 10 January, with flights from HKG to AMM departing on Saturdays and flights between AMM and HKG also departing on Saturdays.
"This new route marks our first network expansion of 2026, further strengthening our ability to deliver reliable and trusted cargo solutions across key intercontinental markets," said HKAC in a LinkedIn profile.
"We look forward to supporting customers and partners with enhanced connectivity between Asia and the Middle East."
In March 2024, the cargo airline expanded its Middle East business scope with the launch of a service to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
With the announcement of the new route to Amman, January looks set to be a busy month for HKAC. The carrier also resumed flights to Singapore and added Chennai to its scheduled operations this month.
Outside of Asia, HKAC has mainly been focusing on expanding its network in Europe, to capitalise on e-commerce demand in the region.
To support its operations into the UK, the airline has previously invested in connections at several airports, most recently East Midlands Airport (EMA).
The airline started operations to mainland Europe in October 2023 with a service to Milan Malpensa. Since then, it has added several other destinations, including Liege, Budapest and Oslo.
HKAC currently has five A330-200Fs that are dry leased from its parent company Hong Kong Airlines, plus an EFW-converted Airbus A330-300P2F that is on ACMI lease.
By 2027, HKAC aims to have 15 aircraft – comprising owned and aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) leased aircraft.
