Hong Kong carrier Greater Bay Airlines (GBA) has appointed OA Cargo (Guangzhou) Company Limited as its general sales and service agent (GSSA) for cargo business in mainland China.

The airline announced the GSSA partnership in a Linkedin post on 15 July, although the length of the contract was not disclosed.

GBA assistant general manager of planning and revenue management Alfred Sze said: “As GBA’s network in Mainland China continues to expand, we consistently review our cargo strategies and proactively enhance our cargo services between Hong Kong and these emerging destinations.

"A long-term partner in various strategic routes within our network, OA Cargo will continue to excel in providing quality services to our cargo clients in Mainland China.”

GBA's Hong Kong International (HKG) to China network includes Zhoushan Putuoshan International (HSN), Yichang Sanxia International (YIH), Huangshan Tunxi International (TXN), Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport (DYG), Guilin Liangjiang International (KWL), Quanzhou Jinjiang International (JJN) and Xuzhou Guanyin International (XUZ).

Destinations from HKG also include Taipei Taoyuan International (TPE) in Taiwan; Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) in Thailand; Ninoy Aquino International (MNL) in Manila, Philippines; and Phu Quoc International (PQC) in Vietnam. 

GBA also flies to several destinations in Japan from HKG. These include Tokyo Narita International (NRT), Kansai International (KIX) in Osaka, Yonago Kitaro (YGJ), Tokushima (TKS), Sendai (SDJ), and New Chitose (CTS) serving Sapporo.
