This year’s Schiphol Aviation Award for Cargo has been presented to Kales Airline Services, in recognition of the GSSA's fundamental role in the development of cargo at the Netherlands airport.

Kales, established in 1994, represents 95 airlines at the Amsterdam hub.

The Schiphol Aviation Awards are presented every year to business partners who have distinguished themselves through their innovative business operations or positive performance. Other winners included EasyJet and Menzies Aviation (Operational Excellence), KLM (Efficiency) and ArkeFly (Sustainability).

Schiphol group executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Maarten de Groof, presented the award to Peter Kales, at a ceremony

Schiphol Cargo senior vice-president Enno Osinga commented: “We are delighted to add Kales to the distinguished line-up of past winners of this award, in recognition of their enthusiastic promotion of carriers serving our airport.

“The fact that our annual awards include a category dedicated to cargo is a clear indication of the top-down importance we place in all forms of logistics activity at and around our airport.”
