Network Aviation Group has appointed Awery Aviation Software, an IT service provider and software development company that supports the international air cargo and aviation industries. to lead its global IT transformation.
Network Aviation Group heads up a range of wholly-owned and inter-related aviation companies. It started life over 40 years ago and has grown extensively since, to cover virtually all aspects of airline cargo sales, logistics and management of freighter aircraft.
Its process of digital transformation is expected to streamline and centralise Network Aviation Group’s wide-ranging cargo operations, with Awery implementing a fully integrated digital solution that will support Network Aviation Group’s scheduled freighter services, charter activities, and general sales and services agent (GSSA) business.
The software will be rolled out across all the company’s divisions, supporting its range of freighter operations, cargo sales, airline representation and charter services.
Jonathan Clark, chief executive of Network Aviation Group, said: “After a thorough review process, and detailed period of collaboration, we’re confident that Awery’s platform is the right fit for a business as broad and operationally diverse as ours.
“Our focus is now on implementing systems that bring greater consistency, better data visibility, and smarter coordination across all our businesses.”
Awery’s software will replace a range of legacy systems and manual processes and is intended to facilitate Network Aviation Group functioning as a digitally connected organisation.
“Network Aviation Group has a unique structure and wide reach, and it was clear from the start that any system would need to adapt to that,” said Vitaly Smilianets, founder and chief executive of Awery.
“Our teams have worked closely together to develop a solution that supports both standardisation and flexibility, so that each part of the business benefits while still operating in sync.”
The contract was signed at this year’s Air Cargo Europe event underway in Munich, Germany, where both companies are exhibiting. The trade show runs from June 2-5.
