Uzbekistan-based My Freighter has carried out its first flight to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH) in eastern China.
The flight from Tashkent International Airport (TAS) in Uzbekistan to HGH carried over 50 tons of cargo, including general cargo, textiles, and high-value goods, said My Freighter in a LinkedIn post today.
My Freighter said the new route marked "another milestone in our expanding China–Central Asia cargo network".
The airline did not confirm that the flight was operated on a charter basis, but added that it is "seriously planning to expand our cargo network in China" and is "preparing to launch scheduled freighter flights from China to Tashkent (TAS) very soon".
In July 2024, My Freighter began operating flights to Shanghai and Ezhou after receiving authorisation to carry out flights on routes to and from Mainland China in April that year.
The airline has recently signed new interline agreements with Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Icelandair Cargo and Aeromexico.
My Freighter has eight 767-300 freighters. Seven of the freighters are passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversions and one is a production freighter. In March, My Freighter also added a Boeing 757-200P2F to its fleet.
My Freighter provides cargo air charter services in Uzbekistan and the Central Asian region. The airline’s specialist air cargo verticals include dangerous goods, perishables and brokerage and certification.
In addition to cargo flights, the airline offers passenger flights. Cargo flights are operated under ‘My Freighter Cargo Airlines’, whilst passenger flights are operated under ‘Centrum Air’.
