Royal Air Maroc Cargo launches weekly Boeing 767 freighter service linking Casablanca to Dakar, targeting Senegal's growing economy

Royal Air Maroc Cargo has launched a new dedicated freighter route between Mohammed V International Airport (CMN), close to Casablanca, Morocco, and Dakar (DSS) in Senegal.
The cargo division of Morocco’s national carrier will operate the service once a week using a Boeing 767 freighter offering 45 tons of capacity.
Adding Dakar to the freighter network, which already includes Brussels (three flights per week), Istanbul (two), Bamako (two), and Ouagadougou (two), will help the airline strengthen its connections between North and West Africa.
“This new freighter route marks another milestone in our long-term vision to reinforce Africa’s logistics ecosystem and bring markets closer together,” said Rita Chraibi, vice president cargo at Royal Air Maroc.
“Senegal is one of West Africa’s most dynamic economies, and our dedicated Casablanca–Dakar service directly addresses customer demand for reliability, capacity, and speed while advancing our goal of building sustainable and efficient air bridges across the continent.”
Royal Air Maroc Cargo flies on scheduled direct services to over 80 destinations worldwide, including freighter-operated flights.
The network is further extended through interline agreements with other air carriers and through partnerships with trucking services providers.
In March last year, Royal Air Maroc reinstated passenger flights from CMN to Beijing (PKX), which were anticipated to attract a range of exports out of Africa.
Royal Air Maroc Cargo's Casablanca hub is equipped with a 200,000-ton annual handling capacity and specialised facilities for perishables, pharmaceuticals, and high-value goods.
