Royal Air Maroc has appointed Rita Chraibi as its new vice president of cargo to advance the air cargo commercial development strategy through 2037.

Chraibi, who has clocked up nearly 20 years of experience within Royal Air Maroc and has been appointed to the role following Yassine Berrada’s tenure, has held several key leadership positions that have shaped her strong understanding of the airline’s strategic priorities and operational challenges.

She will focus on strengthening customer experience and supporting the expansion of the airline's network through new cargo route openings as part of her remit of advancing the commercial cargo development strategy.

“I am deeply honoured by this appointment and the trust placed in me," said Chraibi. "The cargo division is a strategic pillar for Royal Air Maroc, and I am committed to driving its development with ambition and determination. Together with our teams, we will continue expanding our network, enhancing our services, and ensuring that customer experience remains at the core of our mission."

Berrada added: “I would like to warmly congratulate Ms. Chraibi on her appointment. Her extensive experience, leadership skills, and deep knowledge of Royal Air Maroc make her the ideal person to continue guiding the cargo division’s expansion.

"This transition reflects the continuity and strength of a company with 68 years of history, and I am confident she will lead the next phase with success."

Royal Air Maroc is hubbed at Mohammed V International Airport (CMN), close to Casablanca, Morocco. Royal Air Maroc Cargo flies on scheduled direct services to 82 destinations worldwide, including freighter-operated flights.

The network is further extended through interline agreements with other air carriers and through partnerships with trucking services providers.
