The end-to-end service combines Hellmann's freight infrastructure with SkyNet's digital capabilities, initially serving EU and UK shippers before global rollout

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has teamed up with courier firm SkyNet Worldwide Express on a new cross-border e-commerce service to capitalise on "booming" demand levels.
The end-to-end service covers the e-commerce supply chain, including warehousing, fulfilment, re-fulfilment, B2C deliveries and returns management.
The new cross-border e-commerce solution will be initially available for shippers based in the EU or the UK and then rolled out globally.
According to the partners, the solution bridges the gap between traditional postal services and express delivery, offering faster transit times than standard mail while being more cost-effective than express firms.
They added that integrated systems provide end-to-end tracking across all regions and transport modes, while SkyNet’s digital tools and API connectivity allow merchants to manage global shipments through a single integration.
Hellmann contributes the freight infrastructure and worldwide warehousing.
The logistics firm said that its previous e-commerce solution was geared toward B2B and warehousing, whereas the new joint product with SkyNet focuses on cross-border B2C distribution
"From pick-up, linehaul, import/export customs clearance and delivery, to returns management and customer service, SkyNet delivers complete cross-border solutions daily in more than 190 countries," Hellmann said.
Martin Habisreitinger, chief operating officer, airfreight at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, said: “Fast cross-border deliveries are becoming increasingly important for global growth.
"Our collaboration with SkyNet connects warehouses directly to customers around the world through a unified solution.”
Tommy Erasmus, group chief executive of SkyNet Worldwide Express, added: "With this partnership, we are combining Hellmann’s infrastructure and market reach with SkyNet’s e-commerce expertise to create a complete cross-border solution.
