dnata Cargo City Amsterdam will become operational in mid-2025

Nallian’s Truck Visit Management IT solution will go live at the new dnata Cargo City Amsterdam facility at Schiphol Airport when it opens in mid-2025.

Truck Visit Management will optimise resource planning and utilisation at the 850,000 tonne-capacity automated warehouse; it will also shorten dock turnaround and provide granular data on operational performance. Integration with Hermes’ Cargo Management System and Lödige’s Terminal Management System will further maximise process automation and efficiency, from truck arrival through to departure.

According to Nallian, slot scheduling linked to automated access control and call forwarding will allow dnata to efficiently coordinate pick-ups and drop-offs with forwarders and trucking companies, ensuring a smooth truck flow at their closed-off yard.

The project is the result of collaboration between handler dnata, Nallian, BeCon projects, Hermes and Lödige, and connects with community initiatives such as E-Link and Smartloxs.

Tony Davies, director of operations at dnata, said: “We are set to redefine the standards of cargo handling at dnata Cargo City Amsterdam. Nallian’s innovative system will support us in streamlining processes and enhancing control and visibility across our operations.

“With our new, future-proof digital infrastructure, we are in the perfect position to meet the evolving demands of the air cargo industry and continue delivering exceptional service to our customers.”

Jean Verheyen, chief executive at Nallian, added: “The new, automated warehouse is an example for the industry and this project demonstrates our product and team’s ability to optimise complex landside management processes.”
