SATS and Air China Cargo have agreed to deepen their collaboration across key markets in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

In a LinkedIn post today, Singapore-based ground handler SATS said the companies will focus on joint growth in cargo handling and integrated logistics solutions.

The decision to develop collaborative activities further followed a recent strategic meeting in China led by SATS president and chief executive Kerry Mok and Air Cargo China chairman Chen Song.

The discussions reinforced a strong alignment on several priorities:
·      Enhancing collaboration in air cargo transportation, cargo terminal services and integrated logistics
·      Developing intelligent cargo terminal services and leveraging artificial intelligence and digital tools to improve efficiency and visibility
·      Exploring opportunities in strategic investments and network development to support future growth

”This meeting marks a key milestone for Air China Cargo in building a safe, reliable international air cargo supply chain, said SATS. ”As China’s only national flag cargo airline, it is committed to delivering efficient global logistics solutions through enhanced safety, network expansion and capacity growth, supporting China’s “transportation power” and “logistics power” strategies and resilient supply chains.

“At SATS, this reinforces our commitment to deepening relationships with key airline partners and building a safe, reliable and resilient international air cargo supply chain that supports global trade and our customers’ evolving needs.”

In June, Switzerland-headquartered Kuehne+Nagel and SATS, parent company agreed a new deal to strengthen their existing air logistics strategic partnership.
