Saudia Cargo has extended its partnership with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) for cargo handling services at eight international gateways in Europe and the US.

The extended agreement encompasses key European hubs including Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), Brussels (BRU), Frankfurt (FRA), Paris (CDG), London Heathrow (LHR), and Manchester (MAN), alongside New York (JFK) and Washington Dulles (IAD) in the US.

This renewal builds upon a working relationship that was first established in these locations in 2019. The companies last extended their cargo handling contract in these locations in February 2023.

The latest contract was formally signed at a ceremony in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia by Saudia Cargo chief executive and managing director Loay Mashabi and John Batten, chief executive Gateway Services, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA) at SATS-owned WFS.

WFS’s established presence at these key international hubs is vital in supporting Saudia Cargo’s strategic expansion and ensuring seamless connectivity for customers worldwide, according to the airline.

Beyond these eight locations, WFS also provides cargo handling services for Saudia Cargo at Liege (LGG) in Belgium and Kempegowda (BLR) in Bengaluru, India, as well as in Bangkok (BKK), Johannesburg (JNB) and Los Angeles (LAX).

The collaboration between the companies also goes beyond their cargo handling partnerships. WFS, Saudia Cargo and CHAMP Cargosystems launched a joint project in April to establish a practical use case of IATA's One Record ahead of the 1 January implementation deadline.
