Cargo community platform provider allivate has promoted Matthias Hupka and Niklas Petri to lead technical development and market expansion

Frankfurt-based air cargo IT firm allivate has appointed two new joint managing directors as the company looks to move into the next stage of its development.
The joint managing director roles are now occupied by the team of Matthias Hupka and Niklas Petri, who were previously employed by the company as senior consultants.
Hupka will focus on IT, project management, and product management, while Petri is responsible for sales and for the operational design of processes.
Hupka’s responsibilities include both the technical and strategic development of the FAIR@Link platform cargo community platform, as well as integrating new modules and services.
“He brings extensive experience in air cargo, consulting, and IT development,” allivate said.
Meanwhile, Petri will lead efforts on market expansion, strategic development, and the creation of new services and business models.
Petri is a qualified forwarding agent, giving him the ability to understand processes from various perspectives.
“At DB Schenker, he focused on air cargo, while he assumed project management and strategic development roles at DB Cargo,” the company said.
“Our unique selling point is how we work closely with the community on the digital transformation to achieve the best possible result for the air cargo industry. We want to apply the very successful concept of an established and shared Cargo Community System that has been developed at FRA to other airports,” the two said in a press release.
The leadership team will work closely with its joint venture partners, DAKOSY and Fraport.
The two companies launched allivate in 2024 under the leadership of Martina Schikorr and Dirk Gladiator. In June 2025, Denis de Farias Duarte took over Schikorr’s role on an interim basis. Gladiator will remain with allivate in an advisory capacity until 31 March 31.
