Air cargo sales agent (GSA) Group Concorde has made two senior appointments as it looks to expand its overseas operations.

The two appointments see Praveen Narayanan promoted to the role of vice president - Asia Pacific and Ralph Van Eijk take over as chief airline and marketing officer.

In his new role, Narayanan will focus on ”strengthening and expanding Group Concorde’s overseas stations”, while also assuming broader commercial responsibilities.

The India-headquartered GSA said that Narayanan had been a cornerstone of its international expansion over the past several years.

”His efforts have been instrumental in establishing the company’s strong presence across the Asia Pacific region and laying the foundation for sustained global success,” the company said.

”With his extensive industry expertise and forward-thinking approach, Praveen will continue to drive the Group’s growth strategy and solidify its leadership position in the region.”

According to his LinkedIn profile, Narayanan has worked for Group Concorde for more than 20 years in various management roles.

Meanwhile, Van Eijk will oversee and manage all business development and group marketing activities globally.

The company said that he had been closely associated with Group Concorde in recent years and brings ”proven leadership and strategic vision” to help accelerate its growth across multiple geographic markets.

Van Eijk has worked for Group Concorde for more than four years, previously in the role of director of airline development.

He has also worked for Finnair, Saudia Cargo, Airblox, Cargo Crew GSA and Neutral Aviation Specialists, amongst other roles.

Prithviraj Singh Chug, chief executive, said: “Praveen has played a pivotal role in building our Asia Pacific operations and creating a robust international footprint. His new leadership role underscores our commitment to strengthening growth across key markets.

“We are equally excited to welcome Ralph into his expanded role, where his expertise will further elevate our global business development and marketing capabilities.

”With this enhanced leadership structure, Group Concorde is well-positioned to achieve new milestones and deliver greater value to our partners and stakeholders worldwide.”

The promotions come at a busy time for the GSA after it recently announced IAG Cargo had appointed the company as its GSA across eight countries: Cambodia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
