More than 200 industry professionals gathered at the Royal Lancaster London for the annual awards ceremony, which celebrated excellence across nine categories

Air Cargo News Award winners 

The 2025 Air Cargo News Awards celebrated the finest examples of innovation and excellence in the air cargo industry, with winners across nine companies and one prize recognising an individual. 

More than 200 people attended this year’s awards at the 5-star Royal Lancaster London hotel. Guests networked with colleagues and friends at a drinks reception sponsored by Air Partner, followed by a three-course lunch and awards ceremony hosted by magician Ben Hanlin, completed by networking drinks. 

The first awards category of the afternoon was Air Cargo Charter Project of the Year, which made a return for 2025 and was sponsored by Ethiopian Cargo. The winner was Air Charter Service, while the judges also highly commended Cathay Cargo. 

Ekaterina Andreeva, head of business development – cargo at Chapman Freeborn picked up the Awery Aviation Software-sponsored Young Airfreight Professional of the Year. 

This award was introduced last year in recognition of the dynamic young individuals helping to shape the future of airfreight.  

Coaching partners, neAira Executive Performance & SHK Solutions, will donate four months of executive performance coaching to Andreeva , along with a highly discounted introductory team coaching session for Chapman Freeborn —a package worth thousands of dollars! Andreeva will also receive a prize of £500. 

Next up was the Air Cargo Pharma award, which was sponsored by Hactl and scooped by Mumbai Cargo Service Center Cold Chain. 

Then the Network Aviation Group-sponsored Cargo Hub of the Year accolade went to Changi Airport Group. Hong Kong International Airport was further highly commended.  

Following was the Innovation Award – Digital, sponsored by Menzies Aviation. This year the award was won by WFS. Additionally, Nallian was highly commended.  

Meanwhile, AVTAV sponsored the Innovation Award – Product category, which Lödige Industries won. PetTrakr also received a highly commended certificate. 

Taking home the trophy for the GSSA of the Year, sponsored by Etihad Cargo, was FlyUs Aviation Group. The judges chose to highly commend Network Airline Services. 

Ground Handler of the Year, sponsored by American Airlines Cargo, was awarded to Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited. Additionally, dnata picked up a highly commended certificate. 

The dnata-sponsored Air Cargo Environment category was cinched by DHL Express, while the final award of the afternoon was the highly sought after Cargo Airline of the Year. 

Amongst tough competition, LATAM Cargo emerged to be the winner of the award, sponsored by FlyUs Aviation Group. Cathay Cargo achieved a highly commended certificate in the category.
