Former supply chain management executive will oversee freight forwarding and global business services segments

Logistics firm OIA Global has appointed Brandon Ruggles as its chief operating officer to lead its freight forwarding and global business services segments.
Ruggles is tasked with ”driving greater alignment between commercial priorities and operational execution”.
He previously served as senior vice president of supply chain management at the company, where he led three business segments: packaging solutions, raw material management, and 4PL orchestration.
OIA Global chief executive Jeff Barrie said: "[Ruggles] unites people, challenges the status quo, and brings a spirit of innovation that keeps us moving forward. His impact has been significant, and his leadership as COO will help position OIA for long-term growth.”
Ruggles added: “My focus is on ensuring we move forward as one. One OIA, aligned behind a clear strategy, shared priorities, and a unified vision."
According to his LinkedIn profile, Ruggles joined OIA in 2020, initially working on transformation projects before moving over to the supply chain business in 2022.
Last year, OIA Global broadened its Australasian and Asia footprint with the acquisition of BTi Logistics and Airmark Ocean & Air Logistics. It also extended its European network to Ireland with the acquisition of Dublin-based multimodal freight forwarder Sandford Freight.
