Globe Air Cargo Switzerland has become the General Sales & Service Agent (GSSA) for Thai Airways’ cargo operations in Switzerland.
The ECS Group subsidiary will provide GSSA services for daily Thai Airways flights from Zurich (ZRH) to Bangkok (BKK) using Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 aircraft, and with access to the full Thai Airways network across Asia and Australia.
Effective 1 August, the contract will focus on the shipment of high-value and strategic goods, including consolidated cargo, high-tech products and pharmaceuticals, said ECS Group.
This agreement extends a longstanding collaboration between Thai Airways and ECS Group in several countries, but this is the first time Thai Airways’ cargo operations in Switzerland has been under the management of Globe Air Cargo Switzerland.
The new partnership also marks a major milestone in ECS Group’s expansion strategy in Switzerland and across Europe.

In May, Thai Airways selected ECS Group, through its subsidiary HWF Scandinavia and Finland, as its exclusive GSSA in Sweden and Denmark.
In the same month, low-cost carrier PLAY selected ECS Group subsidiaries Globe Air Cargo France and Nordic GSA to provide sales agency services for France and Denmark.
