GSSA Air One has appointed Clair Gunn as its new commercial director as the company eyes further expansion.

In her new role, Gunn will lead the firm’s commercial operations, with “responsibility for fleet capacity planning, network and schedule design, and driving revenue performance across both charter and scheduled services”.

She will work closely with the management teams of Air One’s subsidiary and affiliate airlines to “optimise fleet utilisation and strengthen customer value”.

Gunn joined the company in early 2023 as deputy head of charter and has worked in aviation for more than 20 years.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she has previously worked for the Volga-Dnepr Group and CargoLogicAir and has held senior operations, commercial and key account management roles.

Peter Scholten, chief commercial officer at Air One, said: “Clair’s appointment is an important step in aligning our commercial and operational functions as we continue to grow.

"Her deep understanding of cargo markets and proven leadership will ensure we maximise efficiency across the network while creating new opportunities for our customers worldwide.”

Gunn's appointment follows a series of developments at the company. Most recently, One Air launched scheduled freighter services in partnership with sister company and freighter airline Air One.

The flights operate four-times-per-week using Boeing 747-400 freighters and connect the UK with Hong Kong. There are plans to add more destinations in the future.
