The Amman-headquartered logistics technology firm has integrated courier visibility tools and automated IATA Cargo Accounts Settlement Systems file processing into its cloud-based TMS

Logistaas has unveiled two new features in its cloud-based transportation management system (TMS).
The updates bring courier shipment tracking and IATA Cargo Accounts Settlement Systems (CASS) file reading capability, thus digitalising traditionally manual and time-consuming processes.
Kareem Naouri, founder and chief executive at Logistaas, commented: “Our focus at Logistaas has always been on enabling freight forwarders to work smarter, faster and keep up with the changes happening in the supply chain digital ecosystem.
“These new tools build on our TMS’s existing capabilities, enhancing its ability to improve data accuracy at every stage, all the while simplifying processes for our clients’ teams.”
Enhancements
The courier shipment tracking feature is a further addition to Logistaas’ pre-existing visibility tools, adding courier shipments handled by major global companies to the container and air cargo movements that were already covered.
The system now offers automatic updates to shipment dates, transport milestones and routeing information, while also alerting users and customers to any changes in arrival times.
Logistaas’ new file reading tool automates the processing of IATA CASS files in Excel format, allowing the TMS to verify that every shipment in the file is registered, to compare actual charges with expected costs and to flag discrepancies with reports.
This reduces the need for operators to manually check potentially hundreds of shipments each month, Logistaas believes.
“Processing CASS files has traditionally been a time-consuming task for cargo agents,” Naouri explained.
“By automating this process, we not only cut down administrative workload but also help users detect and resolve billing issues more quickly.”
Both features went live on the TMS earlier this month.
Established in 2015, Logistaas operates from Amman in Jordan and Manchester in the UK. It serves customers across more than 75 countries.
Its TMS is tailored for freight forwarders, NVOCCs and logistics services providers.
