Lufthansa Cargo chief operating officer Frank Bauer has joined the board of Air Cargo Community Frankfurt to drive forward process and site development at Frankfurt Airport.
Bauer, who was recently promoted to Lufthansa Cargo chief operating officer from chief financial officer, will represent the airline while serving on the board of Air Cargo Community Frankfurt.
With his extensive experience in the airfreight industry, Bauer brings comprehensive sector knowledge and leadership expertise to the association, said Lufthansa Cargo.
Throughout his career, he has held various positions within the Lufthansa Group – including roles on the management board of Eurowings and in the areas of controlling and risk management.
Prior to his appointment as chief operating officer, effective 1 July, Bauer had been part of the Lufthansa Cargo executive team since August 2023, serving as chief financial officer, chief human resources officer, and labour director.
“I am very pleased to be able to actively help shape the future of Air Cargo Community Frankfurt as a new board member,” said Bauer. “Frankfurt is one of the world’s most important air cargo hubs, and I am convinced that constructive collaboration within the community is a key driver for success and growth.
"It is particularly important to me to further advance FRA together through digitalisation and innovation. I look forward to constructive dialogue with the members and the ACCF board.”
Air Cargo Community Frankfurt brings together more than 100 companies along the airfreight value chain at Frankfurt Airport, which is Europe’s leading cargo hub.
