Global GSA Group (GGG) has appointed Aytekin Saray as its new chief executive as the company looks to continue to roll out its digital services.

Saray started his airfreight career at Panalpina in 1996 and joined Global Airline Services (now part of Global GSA Group) in 2000, under the mentorship of chairman Ismail Durmaz, who previously held the chief executive role.

Over the years, he played a key role in the Group’s expansion and success, notably as chief commercial officer and managing director for Central Europe.

“Aytekin has lived every chapter of our journey — because he helped write them,” said Durmaz. “He’s a leader with vision, strategy, and action. His appointment reflects our commitment to go further, faster, and continue offering our airline partners smarter, more agile, and more digital solutions.”

Earlier this year, the company announced a strategic partnership with CargoTech to integrate digital tools.

”Aytekin Saray’s leadership is expected to further accelerate this momentum,” the company said.

“It is an honour to step into the role of chief executive at Global GSA Group,” said Aytekin Saray. “This company has shaped my professional journey, and I’m deeply committed to its values and future.

”Together, we’ll continue to strengthen our position as the independent GSA of choice, while guiding our partners through the evolving cargo landscape — from digitalisation to sustainability and operational excellence.”

Meanwhile, Boris Blagojevic will take over as managing director of Mondial Airline Services, overseeing operations in Germany, Austria, and Eastern Europe — a region critical to the Group’s continued success and development.

Earlier this year, the company announced the appointment of Zafer Aggunduz as chief commercial officer.
