Sarah Macfarlane has returned to GSSA Airbridge International Agencies (AIA) in a vice president of sales role.
Macfarlane’s full job title in the new role is vice president of cargo sales and services. She will be responsible for overseeing several of the company’s key markets.
Managers for the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands will report directly to her.
“We are confident that Sarah will bring a fresh perspective, strong leadership skills, and a clear vision to assist AIA Cargo through our next chapter of stability, growth, and innovation," the company said.
Macfarlane previously worked for AIA between 2011 and 2024 as sales manager for the UK.
She left the company last year to join APG Cargo to take up the role of commercial director.
In total, she has 28 years of experience in the GSA/Airline industry. According to her LinkedIn profile, she has also worked for KLM and ANA.
This is the second management appointment at the company in recent months. In July, the company announced that Giuseppe Tarantini would be its new chief executive to replace Mark Andrew, who stepped down from the role.
