Appointment signals ECS Group's continued expansion focus in the Americas region as GSSA provider seeks to strengthen airline partnerships
ECS Group has appointed João Ferreira as regional commercial director – Americas as it continues to grow in the region.
Ferreira has 30 years of experience in the GSSA sector and will lead ECS Group’s commercial efforts across North and Latin America, tasked with ensuring airline partners meet their goals while enhancing the customer experience throughout the region.
“My mission is to deliver our partner airlines’ commercial targets while providing an outstanding customer experience,” said João Ferreira, regional commercial director – Americas, ECS Group.
“The Americas offer significant opportunities, and we will focus on strengthening relationships, building strong leadership teams, and empowering our people to achieve tangible results.”
Ferreira’s approach centers on developing a high-performing regional organisation, increasing direct engagement with airline and freight forwarding partners, and maximising the use of ECS Group’s digital tools to drive smarter decisions.
By combining the mature US market with the growth potential of Latin America, he aims to build a unified commercial network.
“João’s appointment underlines ECS Group’s commitment to global leadership through experienced, forward-looking commercial management,” said Jean Ceccaldi, chief executive, ECS Group.
“His deep knowledge of the Americas and strong customer relationships make him the ideal leader to advance our growth in this vital region.”
Last year, air cargo sales agency EFIS Maroc - part of the ECS Group - appointed Zouber Hachemaoui as its new commercial director.
