Khalihamou's appointment comes as Morocco consolidates its position as a strategic cargo hub between Africa, Europe and the Middle East
ECS Group has appointed Yousra Khalihamou as the new commercial director of EFIS Maroc to further grow the company within Morocco’s expanding air cargo market and beyond.
Khalihamou joined EFIS Maroc seven years ago. During this time, she gained operational and commercial experience, managing the launch of 10 different airlines and contributing directly to strong operational growth, said ECS Group.
Following the integration of EFIS Maroc into ECS Group, Khalihamou was promoted to supervisor in January 2024. Her promotion to commercial director comes as the company focuses on securing new airline contracts and Morocco continues to consolidate its position as a strategic cargo gateway between Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
In her new role, Khalihamou will lead EFIS Maroc’s commercial strategy with three priorities: managing ongoing organisational changes, improving commercial results, and motivating the team to deliver higher performance.
“Being promoted to Commercial Director is an exciting new challenge,” said Khalihamou. “I’ve built my career step by step, from launching airlines to growing our market presence. My goal now is simple: drive better results, secure new contracts, and strengthen EFIS Maroc’s position as a top cargo gateway in the region.”

ECS Group has recently appointed João Ferreira as regional commercial director – Americas, while Girish Kunder has been appointed regional manager for the Indian Subcontinent (ISC)
