Traboulsi established Air Ghana in 1993 as an air logistics company, expanding operations to include freighter services, GSSA and handling operations

Air Cargo News is saddened to report the passing of Marwan Traboulsi, the well-known and respected founder of Air Ghana.
Traboulsi passed away peacefully on 30 September in London, surrounded by his family.
He founded Air Ghana in 1993 as an air logistics company, which later grew to provide a range of services, including freighter operations, GSSA and handling operations, out of its Kotoka International Airport base.
“Marwan was an extraordinary individual whose remarkable life and leadership gave birth to Air Ghana. He cared deeply for this company and for every member of our team,” the Traboulsi family said in a statement.
“We will honour his memory by carrying forward his legacy, representing his ambitious yet caring spirit, and continuing to build and grow the proud foundation he created.
“We know this news will be very difficult for all whose lives Marwan touched. As we grieve, let us also remember and celebrate the extraordinary life of a true visionary.”
Tributes for Traboulsi have flooded in on a social media post announcing his passing.
He was described by friends and colleagues as ”positive, loyal, welcoming” and a ”massively warm and jovial personality” with “drive and energy”.
His family said that details of the arrangements to commemorate his life will be shared in due course.
