Integration of CargoAi's quote and book API with Descartes global price management solution aims to streamline booking processes
Air cargo management solution provider Descartes will integrate CargoAi’s quote and book technology into its own systems.
The partnership will result in the integration of CargoAi’s Quote & Book API with the Descartes Global Price Management (GPM) solution to give users access to live rates, schedules and capacity for more than 105 airlines
The two companies said the move would "simplify the user experience and enable companies to book air cargo smarter, faster and more flexibly".
“The Descartes GPM solution helps companies elevate the customer experience, reduce operational stress, and maximize shipment margins by automating some of the most labor-intensive aspects of their business. With the CargoAi integration, customers can more efficiently and transparently search, compare, quote and book capacity directly from Descartes GPM,” said Scott Sangster, general manager, logistics services providers at Descartes.
CargoAi chief executive Matt Petot added: "Thanks to the integration of Quote & Book API and FlyWindow in Descartes GPM, we offer transport professionals a flexible, high-performance solution that automates and streamlines freight booking."
As well as developing a new partnership with CargoAi, Descartes has also been investing in Artifical Intelligence (AI) technology this year.
In August, the company revealed that it was now utilising AI to reduce delays to shipments as a result of errors caused by trade compliance screening systems.
The company explained that its Visual Compliance AI Assist function automatically reviews and clears false positives generated by compliance systems.
CargoAi has also been investing in AI and last month announced the introduction of an AI assistant.
