Regional carrier Widerøe to roll out e-cargoware

Scandinavian regional airline Widerøe has appointed software firm e-cargoware to digitise its cargo operations.

The Norwegian carrier, which serves 42 domestic and 9 international destinations, will roll out e-cargoware software in the first quarter of next year.

Widerøe cargo manager Thomas Lone explained why it had selected e-cargoware: “Having scanned the marketplace for a user friendly and modern cargo system, I am delighted to have chosen e-cargoware’s cloud-based platform.

“Their solution is easy to implement and is API based which is a key requirement for us to integrate with our stakeholders and in-house IT-systems.

“This will give the agents and freight forwarders access to our whole route network, with transparent pricing and live tracking of air cargo”

Widerøe is the largest regional airline in Scandinavia, carrying around 2.8m passengers annually and flying to 50 domestic and international destinations.
