SAS appoints new EVP and CIO

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has appointed Charlotte Svensson as executive vice president and chief information officer, effective from February 1.

Svensson, who has previously worked at Bonnier News and most recently PostNord Group, will succeed Mattias Forsberg, who is leaving SAS for a new role at Svenska Handelsbanken.

She commented: “I’m looking forward joining SAS where I will be focusing in creating business value through constant improvement of customer value and creating zero friction for both internal and external IT users. Together with my team we will continue SAS’ digital transformation in order to respond to future needs and becoming a truly digital-first airline.”

Rickard Gustafson, chief executive, added: “Svensson’s broad experience in creating business value through digital transformation, together with her leadership skills, will be great assets for us going forward.”
