Bertling plugs into Antonov for power station logistics

Germany’s Bertling Logistics has transported three power substations from Portugal to Argentina using Antonov Airlines freighters.
The logistics operation required three An-124-100 flights to airlift nine outsize transformers from Porto, Portugal, to the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires.
The sub-stations had to travel from the manufacturer’s facility (Efacec) to the end user in Argentina (Edesur).
Antonov’s commercial director, Valery Kulbaka, commented: “Once again An-124-100 aircraft proved its intrinsic value and versatility in servicing the needs of the most sensitive and demanding sectors of the global economy.”
