Peli BioThermal opens Dublin network station

Peli BioThermal, the temperature controlled packaging company, has opened a new network station and service centre in Dublin.

The Irish facility will service, refurbish, repair and condition the company’s reusable Crēdo on Demand containers.

The new centre is located in Harristown, next to Dublin Airport, and will serve the growing pharma industry in Ireland, which is home to some of the world’s leading biotech and pharma companies.

All of the world’s top 10 BioPharmaceutical companies and 14 of the world’s top 15 medical technology companies have operations in Ireland according to Investment Development Agency (IDA) Ireland, which highlighted how 75 pharmaceutical companies operate in the country where the biopharmaceutical industry has made a capital investment of approximately $10bn in new facilities during recent years.

IDA Ireland added that the nation’s pharma, bio and chemistry produce industry has annual exports amounting to €39bn.

Dublin is a key pharma hub and home to some of the largest pharmaceutical and healthcare companies in the world including Lilly, Pfizer, Sanofi, Amgen, Allergan, Alexion, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck and Pramerica.

“Dublin is a key logistics location hub and Ireland’s life sciences sector and bio-pharmaceutical industry is increasing at a rapid rate,” said Dominic Hyde, vice president of Crēdo™ on Demand.

“As we continue to expand our Crēdo on Demand rental programme, the Dublin network station and service centre puts customers in closer proximity to more convenient and flexible shipping options.”

An interview with Dominic Hyde will appear in the March issue of Air Cargo News.
