Atlas Air to expand Kentucky operations

Atlas Air is expanding its operations in Kentucky by taking a long-term lease on a new facility in Erlanger, near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG).

The new centre is expected to open in 2021 and Atlas predicts it will almost triple its workforce in Kentucky to more than 900 people in the next ten years.

Atlas currently employs 318 staff at its facilities in northern Kentucky, which includes its Southern Air subsidiary. Employees from the company’s Florence location will relocate to the new site in Erlanger once it is complete.

Atlas Air Worldwide, headquartered in Purchase, New York, employs more than 3,000 people across 89 counties.
