Sichuan Airlines to launch Brussels-Xi’an A330 freighter

Chinese carrier Sichuan Airlines, which tomorrow launches an A330 freighter service between Brussels and Xi’an, has appointed ATC Aviation Services as its GSSA in Europe.

Chengdu-headquartered Sichuan Airlines will start the twice a week direct freighter service into Brussels on November 26.

Edward Zhou, department manager of freighter sales department of Sichuan Airlines Logistics, said: “Brussels is an important European gateway and we will operate two direct flights weekly from BRU-XIY.

“From Xi’an, connection by air and trucking are offered to the main destinations in China. Additional international freighter services are operated by Sichuan Airlines to Japan and India.

“By working together with ATC we rely on an experienced international network which will support us to increase sales within this major markets.”

Sichuan Airlines operates the largest all-Airbus fleet in China, more than 150 aircraft, serving around 300 domestic and international routes covering Asia, Europe, North America and Africa.

Ingo Zimmer, ATC Aviation chief executive, said: “We are honoured to represent Sichuan Airlines in Europe.

“Our professional and experienced team will work continuously to position Europe as an important point of sales for the airline’s international network.”
