Time:matters offsets on-board courier shipments

Time-critical logistics firm time:matters has begun offsetting the carbon produced by its on-board courier shipments.

For the project, time:matters is co-operating with myclimate, a non-profit organisation, to offset its carbon emissions from courier shipments.

The offsetting measures cover carbon emissions from flights as well as vehicle pick-ups and deliveries.

“We take our responsibility for the environment very seriously at time:matters,” explained Alexander Kohnen, chief executive of time:matters. “Offsetting the carbon produced through our airmates on-board courier service is the next logical step for us towards a sustainable, innovative transport portfolio. This is also reflected in the demand from our customers for eco-friendly logistics solutions.”

This is the latest step in the company’s environmental drive. It also achieved ISO 14001:2015 (environmental) certification last year, uses electric vehicles on the apron and other measures.
