Gebrüder Weiss announces new managing director air and sea

Transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss has named Lother Thoma as the new managing director of its air and sea division, effective from the start of this year.

Thoma was chosen by the company’s supervisory board to succeed Heinz Senger-Weiss.

Thoma has worked in the industry for more than 20 years and his most recent role was chief executive of an international logistics group.

Gebrüder Weiss has a presence in 30 countries, at at hubs in cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo.

Going forward, the company plans to streamline and unify its supply chain IT solutions to benefit its global customers.
