Etihad Cargo expands digital platform with tracking app

Etihad Cargo has launched a mobile app that enables customers to track their shipments in real time while on the go.

The application is based on the capabilities of Etihad Cargo’s iCargo platform and its website, etihadcargo.com.

In addition to its real-time tracking capabilities, the app also features optional push notifications (alerts) and shipment status updates.

Rory Fidler, head of technology and innovation at Etihad Cargo said: “This customer-friendly mobile app is yet another major development in our journey to become a leading innovative and digitised air cargo carrier.

“The app provides our customers with access to information at their fingertips whether at the office or on the go, when and where they need it most. We are committed to disrupting the air cargo market through innovative new digitalisation processes that differentiate Etihad Cargo as a provider that elevates the overall customer service value proposition.”

Etihad has reduced its freighter fleet and invested in its digital services over the last couple of years.

For example, last November, Etihad Cargo joined the cargo.one booking platform, which enables freight forwarders to instantly book cargo space on the carrier’s aircraft through the platform.
