Saudi Arabian Logistics moves operations to new KKIA facilities

Saudi Arabian Logistics (SAL) has relocated some of its operations to the new facilities at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh.

From April 20, SAL’s export cargo handling, domestic cargo handling and express mail services will operate from the airport’s new facilities (pictured).

Thanks to the move, SAL customers will get faster services because the company’s operational capacity has doubled, to up to 450,000 tonnes per year, and its facilities now cover an area of 67,000 m sq.

SAL is the main cargo handler at Saudi airports and the only logistics platform that links all Saudi airports and facilitating ground handling services, electronic commerce activities, land transportation, warehouse management and storage solutions.

SAL chief executive, Omar Hariri, commented: “The movement of ground handling services to the new facilities will undoubtedly enhance the cargo operations being provided during the Covid-19 crisis and ensure the continuity of the logistic operations and the flow of cargo.”
