UPS helps keep in the cold

UPS has expanded its Temperature True Packaging service to include expert consultation, package procurement and four new off-the-shelf packaging lines.
Each of the latter has been engineered and tested by the manufacturer for use in the express parcel giant’s US domestic network.
Specialist staff help customers select and procure the right cold-chain packaging built to meet appropriate levels of safety and protection standards.
In-house UPS experts are based in Europe, the US and Asia Pacific to help customers build their packaging strategies and optimise package engineering.
UPS says its packaging can keep pharmaceuticals, biologics, diagnostic specimens or vaccines refrigerated, at controlled room temperature or frozen, for two or more days, down to  cryogenic (-150 degrees C) levels
UPS recently launched Temperature True Cryo and three UPS Temperature True freight service levels, operating through a global network of 49 healthcare-dedicated facilities.
