CargoLogicAir operations boosted with CHAMP’s load planning tool

UK-based freighter operator CargoLogicAir is making use of CHAMP’s Weight & Balance solution in its freighter operations.

An advanced load planning tool, CHAMP’s Weight & Balance is used to improve the safety and speed of freighter aircraft loading.

The algorithm-based system helps ensure that maximum space is used on an aircraft. In addition, the autoload function complies with safety and auditing regulations.

“Being already familiar with CHAMP’s Weight & Balance solution and its unique standalone version, we were very eager to rapidly implement this solution to manage our freighter handling and load planning, and get us moving again,” said David Grymonprez, Ground Operations Manager at CargoLogicAir.

“Coming from a manual load planning background and having experience with inhouse weight & balance solutions at other cargo airlines – CHAMP has by far the best, easiest to use and most convenient software. As an end-user, it has it all there.”

Lee Booth, vice president of global products at CHAMP Cargosystems, explained: “We are delighted that CHAMP could support CargoLogicAir to get back in the air.”

“CHAMP Weight & Balance is a powerful solution for the complex and critical task of load planning – ensuring safety while maximizing capacity of the aircraft. We have the flexibility and experience to rapidly set up, train and implement a customer in a very short time.”

CargoLogicAir, which is based at Stansted Airport in the UK, resumed services last month following the lifting of its Air Operator Certificate suspension. The carrier suspended operations in February.

CargoLogicAir’s resumed operations included charters from the UK to and from China transporting supplies of personal protective equipment, as well as supporting customers globally as requested.
