Çelebi Aviation Holding has become the first ground handler to receive IATA Training Validation Program (TVP) certification, which recognises excellence in training and development, compliance with industry training standards and best practices.

The certification was awarded after IATA assessed the critical areas of Çelebi Aviation’s training system, standards of operation and training management.

Stéphanie Siouffi, director of IATA Training, explained: “IATA congratulates Çelebi for achieving the IATA Training Validation Program (TVP) certification. The certification completion is testimony to your leadership and commitment to provide employees with high-quality and effective training that meets industry recognized standards.”

Dave Dorner, Çelebi group chief executive, commented: “We are proud to be the first ground handling company that has received TVP certification for both our Aviation Academy and for the Passenger Handling training.

“Achieving this milestone reinforces and validates our commitment to adhere to the highest standards we have set with our group training offering, which translates into superior quality in training and development, and compliance with industry training standards.”

Derya Tekin Yusuf, Çelibi board member, training and development, added: “We are truly appreciative of IATA’s recognition of our efforts. We take this certification very seriously since Çelebi’s learning culture and success are built by our amazing employees. We strive daily to maintain an environment where people feel respected as individuals, valued for their work and empowered to grow. ”

Evren Gerçek, Çelibi global academy director, said: “Our employees are the backbone of Çelebi and we are committed to providing an excellent service experience for our customers. Competent and trained employees are the key.”
