Bin Yousef Cargo charters flights for PPE to Qatar

Qatar-based freight forwarder Bin Yousef Cargo has chartered multiple Boeing 777-200 freighters for a number of its clients in 180 countries.
The freighters were loaded with more than 100 tonnes of medical supplies, and medical equipment for use in Covid-19 treatment centres in Doha.
The charters were organised after the Qatar government made the wearing of masks compulsory, which in turn led to a surge in demand for masks, respirators, gloves, personal protective equipment, hand sanitiser gels and medical equipment.
“The imports for these commodities have skyrocketed in the past month,” Bin Yousef Cargo said in a statement.
In May, more than 700 tonnes of medical cargo was handled by Bin Yousef Cargo handled and the forwarder said it expects import volumes to increase in the weeks ahead in June, as the nation “continues to tackle this unprecedented pandemic”.
