UPS appoints Hwang to board of directors

UPS has appointed Angela Hwang to its board of directors, effective immediately. Her appointment brings the total number of directors to 13.

Hwang is group president of the Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group and she is also a member of its executive team. In this role, she leads more than 26,000 global colleagues and the has responsibility of bringing more than 600 pharma products to patients around the world.

Prior to leading the Pfizer Biopharmaceuticals Group, Hwang held more than 10 different positions in the company in the fields of strategy, product development, marketing, sales and general management.

Hwang also sits on the boards of EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations), as well as the Pfizer Foundation, a charitable organisation that addresses global health challenges. 

Hwang was previously active in industry groups such as the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, where she co-chaired the Vaccines Policy Committee.
